Dave Dolecki- (owner)Dave has played in the CIAU for Ryerson University, in the OJPHL for the Milton Merchants and the Oakville Blades, as well as in the OHL for the London Knights. He also played for 8 years in AAA for the Toronto Red Wings and North York Canadiens.In 1992, Dave started teaching goalies for several goalie schools. In the year 2000, he founded “The Crease Goaltending Academy.” The Crease trains over 150 goalies a week, and works with over 70 teams in the GTHL and OMHA on a yearly basis.  In the last four years, 14 goalies who have trained at The Crease have been drafted to the OHL, 7 students have received NCAA full scholarships and 3 longtime students have been drafted to the NHL.  Dave is current goalie coach for the OJHL Jr. Canadiens and the Etobicoke Dolphins Jr girls.  He is a hockey Canada certified instructor  .Since its inception, Dave has been in charge of Everest’s Goalie Development program. He is goalie director for Canadian Ice Academy High Performance program, St Martins High Performance program, EHMHA, Erindale hockey in the MHL, Faustina house league and Etobicoke Bulldogs house league.  Dave is also owner of The Crease Inc, Just Shoot It Oakville and is in charge of Base Hockey in GTA and is a certified Base fitter.

  • Played NCAA St. Lawrence Division 1, received a full scholarship.
  • Played 5 years pro ECHL, WPHL, CHL, BNL
  • Played Metro Junior “A”: for the Wexford Raiders winning championship title in 1993
  • Played minor hockey AAA for Toronto Red Wings


  Mike Crampton- Certified Head Base Fitter Oakville Coach Mike is our Head Instructor at BaseHockeyGTA’s Oakville Location. At 24 years young Coach Mike’s desire to teach young players the fundamentals of the game in incomparable. His knowledge comes from over a decade of competitive hockey in OHF and OCAA organization’s. He has also been trained hands-on by BaseHockey’s professional team of Stick Fitters and Shooting Experts. His prior experience paired with his teaching styles allow for a productive and fun working relationship to be created and built upon between the student and the mentor. This keeps all players regardless of age or skill level enthusiastic about coming to the rink and leaves them not only craving but demanding improvement out of themselves. To ensure consistent improvement to each individual players game Mike puts an the mental side of the game at the forefront of his lessons. Teaching the importance of focus from the moment they wake up on game day to the second the leave the practice facility on a day off. An extremely patient teacher with an unbelievable eye for compromises in players mechanics Mike uses his creative advantage to make adjustments that are unique to each players preferences and style. This dramatically improves the all around game of players each and every time they see him. Mike’s ABC’s at BaseHockeyGTA make improvement mandatory and coming to the rink fun!

Tyler Strabac-Certified Base instructor Oakville/EtobicokeAt the age of 23,Tyler has 18 years of competitive hockey experience under his belt.  Tyler played his minor hockey AAA career with the Hamilton Bulldogs and RedWings. He then played 4 years for the Glanbrook Rangers NDJCHL.  Tyler passion for sport and fitness drove him to pursue a Health, Wellness and Fitness Diploma at Mohawk College.  During his time in school, Tyler completed a 1 year co-op placement at a hockey specific training facility where he was an on ice and dryland instructor.  Tyler is a firm believer that having fun is the name of the game and makes it his goal to have players was away with a smile on their face.  Tyler takes great pride in each player he teaches and thrives on their development both on and off the ice.  Tyler is a certified Base instructor out of both the Etobicoke and Oakville locations
